Hey, I'm

EDAN EINGAL.

Here's what I've done so far.

Brown University

Brown University
Candidate for Sc.B. in Computer Science, Class of 2018
Providence, RI
This is where I fell in love with Computer Science. The journey started with an Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming course, and I have since explored topics such as Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, and Computer Architecture. I have also worked as a Brown Dining Services cashier, an Engineering Mentor, a Computer Science TA, and an Excel Instructor during my time here.

Optiver

Optiver
Software Development Intern, Summer 2017
Chicago, IL
I was a part of the Automated Trading Systems team. My main project consisted of developing infrastructure that relayed market data from various exchanges to the firm’s automated trading systems. Throughout the internship, I also implemented several new features within the automated quoting system. I am excited to announce that I will be returning to Optiver full-time in the summer of 2018!

Software Engineering Intern, Summer 2016
San Francisco, CA
I interned with the Quality Assurance team, which is a part of the Engineering Effectiveness group. Over the course of the summer, I developed a cross-platform blackbox UI test automation framework using Java and Appium that I called Photon. I also did some iOS UI test automation using Objective-C. This was my first real foray into the Software Engineering world and I learned a ton about the industry as well as the general workings of a large company.

iD Tech

iD Tech
Instructor, Summer 2015
Chicago, IL
I taught groups of up to eight students ranging in age from 7 to 12 about programming, robotics, and game design. They say that if you really understand a topic you should be able to explain it to a child, and this job taught me to abide by that.

Rootclaim

Rootclaim
Logical Analyst, Spring 2014
Tel Aviv, Israel
I was one of the first three employees at this startup, which attempts to analyze controversial issues through crowdsourced evidence and probabilistic models. This was a great way to gain analytical skills and learn about the world of startups.

Walter Payton College Prep

Walter Payton College Prep
Class of 2013
Chicago, IL
This is where my love for math and science really flourished. On top of that, I was able to explore various interests outside of school as an active member of the soccer team, the volleyball team, and the math team.
